The new 469 Training portal is available to active 469 journeymen who must take annual journeyman upgrade training as outlined in the 2024-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Journeyman Upgrade Training Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs Journeyperson upgrade training?

Journeyperson upgrade training is required per the CBA for all 469 building trades active Journeypersons.

How many training hours do I need?

You will need 8 hours of continual education for the year 2024/25.

What date do I need to have my training hours done by?

Your 8 hours of training must be completed by 5-31-25 to receive your raise on 7-01-25.

I took a 32-hour training class. Do any of those hours roll over to the next year?

Yes. 50% of your unused hours will transfer to the following year. So, if you took a 32-hour training class, 12 hours will transfer to the following year.

Where do I sign up for training?

All training classes will be available in the new 469 Training portal (469training.com), which you can access on your desktop or via the Go.Learn mobile app.

How do I check how many training hours I have completed?

You can check your training hours at 469training.com.

How long does it take for my certificate or training hours to show up in my profile?

It can take up to 10 business days for your training hours or certificate to appear in your profile. If you do not see it after that time, please email PIPE at info@pipetrust.org

I am a traveler, am I required to take this continual education?

No, not for the 2024-25 year.

I am a Local 469 member and travel, am I required to do continual education?

Members working outside of Local 469 jurisdiction and returning to Local 469 jurisdiction on or after July 1st will have a ninety (90) day period to complete their hours.

 

Members working outside of Local 469 jurisdiction for 6 months and 1 day or more within a contract year (July 1 – June 30) will be exempt from continual education training for that contract year only.

I received external training relevant to the trades. Does that count?

You need to submit the training information for approval to receive credit for these training hours. You can do this on 469training.com in the Log External Training link.
