Attention, apprentices!

Yes—Local 469 apprentices finally get to compete in the Arizona Pipe Trades Apprenticeship Competition. We had talented apprentices compete for their right to represent Local 469 in District 5’s regional competition, for the first time since 2019.

Zach Huffman narrowly won the welding competition over Casey Esparza, Alex, Krizan, and Aaron Ganues. Brent Larsen beat out fellow HVAC apprentices Tyler Eulert and Seamus Hunt.

This June, Huffman and Larsen will compete against apprentices across the western United States in sunny Las Vegas. Let’s cheer them on as they compete to land a spot at Ann Arbor’s national competition in August.

All apprentices did an incredible job, proving that Local 469 has the finest training program around.
