WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Stress can be helpful when it serves its intended short-term purpose: to motivate us to take needed action. But when stress is prolonged due to unresolved challenges or a series of disruptive life events, it can feel like waves of stress are constantly crashing down. When stress becomes chronic, it no longer benefits us and can negatively affect our mental and physical well-being. In this workshop, you’ll learn more about stress and how it may be impacting your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You will also learn research-supported strategies for effectively interrupting the stress process and promoting more positive emotions, a greater sense of calm, and a more mindful approach to daily life. You’ll leave this training empowered with the stress management skills you need to stay afloat during stressful times.
