On October 11, 2025, UA Local 469 proudly celebrated our annual Pin Ceremony, recognizing members who earned Years of Service Pins in 2024. Those who achieve 25 years of membership or more receive a new pin every five years in honor of their service and dedication. ![]()

These long-time members are the heart and foundation of our Local. Their loyalty, skill, and union pride built the strong brotherhood and sisterhood we stand on today. UA Local 469’s 2025 Health Fair was another great success — thanks to our members, families, and volunteers who made the day special.![]()

It was a fun-filled day of camaraderie featuring lunch, kids’ activities, raffle prizes, and informational booths highlighting our benefits. Many also took advantage of on-site wellness services, including flu shots, shingles immunizations, tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) shots, prostate exams, mammograms, chair massages, and more. ![]()

This month, over 5,000 union tradeswomen came together in Chicago for the 2025 Tradeswomen Build Nations conference—the largest gathering of its kind in the world.![]()

UA was represented in full force, with over 1,000 members in attendance. Year after year, we’ve grown our presence at this conference, and this year, we’re excited to share that UA Local 469 was the largest delegation in the UA, with 40 delegates making the trip to learn, connect, and lead!![]()

We are especially proud of Sister Alicia Robinson, who was selected to serve as Sergeant-at-Arms for the event and to share her inspiring story with more than 1,000 UA sisters before introducing UA General President Mark McManus during the UA Caucus. She also spoke on a childcare solutions panel alongside Brother Solomon Galyon, highlighting the work our Local is doing to support members with childcare benefits.![]()

Some signs that a brother or sister might be struggling include:![]()

Labor Day is about honoring the hard work that builds our communities-and sometimes, the very stadiums we gather in.![]()

Back in the late 1990s, UA Local 469 members and our Signatory Contractor, University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors (UMEC), helped bring Chase Field (then Bank One Ballpark) to life. Their skill and dedication built a landmark that continues to bring people together.![]()

For the past 14 years, Chase Field has been home to our Labor Day at the Ballpark tradition—an annual celebration where members, contractors, and their families come together to honor the union craftspeople who set the standard for excellence in our trade.![]()

This Labor Day, we celebrate not only the holiday, but also the hard-working union members and signatory contractors whose labor quite literally built the stadium we gather in. ![]()
