It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of 41-year-old UA Local 469 member, Brother Jeremiah Field. Jeremiah was on his way to work at 4:30 this morning when he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. This is an unimaginable loss, and our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and the brothers and sisters who worked beside him.![]()

We’re thrilled to welcome our newest signatory contractor, Classic Refrigeration, to Arizona! An established California-based contractor, Classic is a family-owned and operated commercial and industrial refrigeration company with a strong customer base and a 150-truck fleet. After over two years of hard work and collaboration from our organizing team—Chad Jessee, Justin Langdon, and Robert Sena—Classic is now officially signed with 469 and poised to bring jobs to our members and expand our market share in the HVAC, Refrigeration, and Low Temp arena here in Arizona.![]()

Today, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a tireless advocate for economic justice and workers' rights. Dr. King believed that the fight for civil rights was deeply connected to the fight for fair wages and working conditions. He stood with labor unions and saw unionism as a solution to economic disparities. ![]()

Congrats to 469 Legend Chuck Haworth on his retirement! Over the span of his 35 years as a 469 member, Chuck has been a mentor and friend to many in our local, turned wrenches with the best of his Brothers and Sisters on jobsites across the state, and helped hone the skills of future generations as a welding instructor at our apprenticeship. ![]()
